Catherine Cuisenier Bourquin
Psychologist in psychotherapy training FSP
Deborah is a psychologist FSP in training as well as a professional improvisational theater comedian. She completed all her psychology studies at the University of Geneva and is currently pursuing a MAS in Person-Centered psychotherapy. The foundations of this therapeutic approach are empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard and acceptance. Deborah also worked for 1 year caring for children with ASD, which allowed her to acquire good knowledge of autism and an ability to recognize and manage the needs of children. Due to the high comorbidity between autism and ADHD, she was also able to learn tools for caring for people with ADHD.
Improvisational theater allowed Deborah to develop tools to get to know her body, feel it in full awareness, manage her emotions and anxiety level.
Finally, in her academic and personal background, Deborah has always been interested in the management of addictions and eating disorders. She also has a desire to support and assist people in the LGBTQIA+ community.
Deborah therefore wishes to support her patients in a safe and supportive environment in which one can feel free to express difficulties, feel emotions and explore them in order to move forward together towards greater well-being.
