After studying medicine and psychology at the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium, he moved to Switzerland, a country known for its high-quality dual training program in psychiatry and psychotherapy, to continue his training in psychiatry and psychotherapy. He completed his psychiatry and psychotherapy training between Fribourg and Lausanne and also finished his Master’s thesis in Psychological Sciences in collaboration with the Family Research Center in Lausanne. While working in the geriatric psychiatry department at CHUV under Prof. A. von Gunten, he discovered a humanistic, multidisciplinary and complex approach, fully in line with his psychotherapeutic training focus: systemic, couples and family psychotherapy, completed at the Family Research Center under the supervision of R. Neuburger. Subsequently, he specialized in emotion-focused psychotherapy through the training offered by the Institute for Emotion-Focused Therapy (IEFT) in Bern, under the direction of Dr. phil. M. Sutter, and decided to open an psychotherapy center dedicated to this approach in Geneva. In addition to his private practice, he also handles psycho-geriatric aspects in several Medico-Social Institutions in the Terre-Sainte region and on the right bank of Geneva.
