Psychologist in psychotherapy training FSP

Holder of a master’s degree in psychology from the University of Lausanne, I began, in December 2021, my postgraduate training to become a psychologist-psychotherapist in the Person-Centered Approach (PCA) orientation. Aware of the connection between body and mind, I’m also trained in massage therapy. In my understanding of how humans function, it is impossible and counterproductive to separate body and mind, so I try to help my patients achieve all kinds of physical and emotional transitions from the most efficient way possible. My career as a psychologist began at the Asociacion Pro Desarrollo Guaricano, in a very poor neighborhood of Santo Domingo. I worked in a health center where I mainly dealt with situations of abuse and family planning and as a psychologist with children and adolescents in difficulty. Back in Switzerland, I worked in a psychiatric practice as a collaborator in order to provide psychological support to patients and to take care of the somatoform manifestations of psychological disorders. My personal journey has led me to become aware of the difficulties of certain minorities in being welcomed in good conditions. It is with this in mind that in April 2021 I also participated in continuing education to support LGBTQ+ people. I do my best to have an inclusive, safe and affirming therapeutic posture.
