Valérie Antille

Neuropsychologist in chief ASNP

After obtaining a Master’s degree in Clinical and Cognitive Psychology and a MAS in Neuropsychology from the University of Geneva in 2010, I worked as a neuropsychologist at the Memory Clinic of the HUG (University Hospitals of Geneva), and later in the Neuropsychology and Neurorehabilitation Department of the CHUV (University Hospital of Lausanne), working with young adults and elderly individuals suffering from various neurological issues. In 2018, I obtained my specialist title in Neuropsychology from the FSP (Swiss Federation of Psychologists) and held a position as an associate responsible for the hospital neurorehabilitation sector in the Neuropsychology and Neurorehabilitation Department at the CHUV. Additionally, for two years, I worked at a specialized addiction clinic in Geneva, providing support to adolescents and adults experiencing psychological distress. As a neuropsychologist, I conduct assessments aimed at identifying the cognitive specificities of each individual, including their strengths and weaknesses, while also considering their life and medical history, as well as the daily challenges they may face. This evaluation process can be within the context of neurological impairment, assessing potential sequelae and recovery possibilities, or as part of a personal journey of self-awareness (such as investigating possible neurodevelopmental disorders like ADHD or ASD and assessing intellectual efficiency). Following these assessments, I find it essential to establish connections with daily life, providing practical advice and offering personalized rehabilitation exercises. The diversity of these experiences, the unique nature of each situation, and the fundamental role that each individual plays in this process have led me to join the ALMAVAL team, enabling me to accompany patients in their journey in a manner that is closely aligned with their values.
