Viviana Barbato

Psychologist in psychotherapy training FSP

I took my first steps into the world of work as a nurse’s help. Then, I learned to manage emotional problems and stress with the Geneva police. For more than a year, I actively supported patient-inmates and their loved ones as a psychosocial worker and psychologist at the Graap-Association. During my studies, I carried out research on compulsive daydreaming in order to optimize mental control. Today, I specialize in person-centered psychotherapy. This approach allows people to increase autonomy in an authentic and sincere atmosphere.

Trained in EMDR, I help people who suffer to accept their pain on a daily basis, whether physical or psychological. My area of expertise is in support related to violence (victims and perpetrators), personality and eating disorders with a particular focus on managing emotions. I am committed to developing the resources buried in each person in order to optimize everyone’s potential. My sessions will be held in the presence of my service dog. I mainly receive adults individually and couples. Languages: French and Italian.
